The 2010 New Jersey FRC Regional

I visited the 2010 New Jersey FRC Regional last Saturday, and had a chance to catch up with family, friends, and take pictures.
Browse through my latest Flickr set to see all of the action.

FRC is the FIRST Robotics Completion, where high school students build 120 Lb. robots in only six weeks, and compete in a annually changing competition. This years competition is called “Breakaway“, where teams have to score as many soccer balls into their alliance’s goals in 2 minutes and 15 seconds. Click here to watch a short video explaining the game.

I had the chance to participate in FIRST when I was in high school. I was a member of Team 555, Montclair Robotics, for four years. I still continue to be involved with FIRST as a volunteer, doing website evaluations, and well as other activities.

In the set of photos, I mainly focus on 3 teams; Team 555 (My former team), Team 1089, and Team 2789.
